The P-man and I arrived yesterday evening into Calgary from Frankfurt and they nearly had to divert us to Edmonton due to conditions on the ground, namely thick blowing snow. Not pretty.
We made out way home in a cab, snowing all the way, and I was left wondering if we hadn't gone through some temporal distortion warping us back to more traditionally winter months. Then, through the jet lag I remembered: this is Calgary. It can snow whenever it damn well feels like it.

I'm taking the weekend off from hacking, though I didn't manage to do the same for email so far. I played with ignoring my email, but 24 mails sent later I've obviously failed at that. ;)
I'm missing Europe already, mostly due to the snow and the great friends left behind there, I think. For now, I think I'm going to go curl up in front of a movie and relax a bit. See you on Monday =)

Same here in Grande Prairie. I was driving today and hit a patch of ice. I ended up skidding and the front right wheel slammed into the curb. The tire was bent and the hubcap shattered. All the way home the steering wheel was shaking like crazy left and right. I changed the tire and everything seems OK now, hopefully it stays that way. Going to get it checked tomorrow.
If I were you, I would have stayed in Europe for another month. LOL
Meanwhile, we get a nice 20 degrees C in the Netherlands :-) Ah, the wonders of weather...
oh, what's about 35 degrees C here ;)
Yeah, I'm amazed, its actually 294K here!
