If April showers bring May flowers (as the English saying goes), then what the $#&! do April snow storms bring? They'd better bring more than flowers, because as much as I love them a snowstorm requires a bit more. Maybe a small piece of jewelry, a massage or a nice night out on the town. ;)
The P-man and I arrived yesterday evening into Calgary from Frankfurt and they nearly had to divert us to Edmonton due to conditions on the ground, namely thick blowing snow. Not pretty.
We made out way home in a cab, snowing all the way, and I was left wondering if we hadn't gone through some temporal distortion warping us back to more traditionally winter months. Then, through the jet lag I remembered: this is Calgary. It can snow whenever it damn well feels like it.
I'm taking the weekend off from hacking, though I didn't manage to do the same for email so far. I played with ignoring my email, but 24 mails sent later I've obviously failed at that. ;)
I'm missing Europe already, mostly due to the snow and the great friends left behind there, I think. For now, I think I'm going to go curl up in front of a movie and relax a bit. See you on Monday =)
