picked up p. from the airport, he was ill and throwing up from a flu, had to go through a bunch of patches and what not and then had an interview on the linux link tech show tonight. in all, i'm feeling more than a little overwhelmed. kde 4.0 gets tagged tomorrow ... i'm feeling more than a little tagged myself.
tomorrow i start writing the final version of my presentation for the release event.
and then it's off to 4.1 which will be a much more enjoyable release for me =)

When it comes down to it, we all know you developers have been working extra hard. The product you've prepared for the users is phenomenal.\
good work.
heh, I'm starting to feel like that and I've hardly even *done* anything.
you've done an incredible thing here. you've taken the dream of plasma and made it a reality. that's fucking amazing. it really is.
I don't come out to say things much, and that's perhaps my mistake, but here's me coming out to say: fantastic job. Plasma looks like the conception of badasses, brought to fruition by more badasses. Interestingly enough, it looks like you are in both groups in this case ;)
Keep up the unbelievable work. I can only hope I'll have time to play with using Ruby with Plasma when the time comes.
Looking forward to the release. No doubt it'll be amazing, seeing as I'm already impressed from what little I've had the chance to try myself. I'm taking some C classes next semester, then I might finally be able to help out a bit!
i appreciate what you do for kde, keep up the good work!

No way to say to you -all developers- how much appreciated is your work!
It's a message of love for all the human beings!
Grazie Aaron! Italy loves you.
You rock, Aaron! I hope Aaron Jr recovers soon!
Here's to putting 4.0.0 behind us and concentrating on a glorious 4.1!
Any word on that mean bug with Intel graphics, where you get your laptop-display projected into your bigger display again? You blogged about it a few weeks ago.
It's actually a quite annoying bug, preventing me from using RC2.
aseigo, you rock!!!
we love you =)
I tested the latest opensuse builds of KDE 4.0 and it looks, feels and behaves much more consistently than before holidays.
Thanks for all the work you've put into KDE and thanks to all the other developers that will make KDE4 rock.
And i'm already eager to see 4.1. If 4.0 is just the first brick that will build the KDE4 history, I can't help wondering how amazing the future versions will be.
Nice interview there. I'm not quite finished, but what did you buy your son I did not understand that part?
Btw. good that you avoided the possibility of a flame war as some of the questions could have (were intended to?) lead to some.
And now I'm waiting for the first steps of KDE 4. :)
Thank you all for your great work, I appreciate that a lot. I guess you'd all deserve holidays now.
I'm a linux noob and have followed KDE4 with interest. I look forward to the KDE4 relase and future editions of the desktop. I think the community is fantastic and i would like to especially thank Asiego for his work in coordinating this rather big project. It does sometimes seem that everyone is a critic and that overhauling everything has some drawbacks but I think the result will be fantastic and am glad to see people optimistic. congratulations Aaron and everyone else.

Just want to add my thank you hug here. Even if sometimes people's blogs and some dot comments make it seem the world is out to get you, most of us are just nodding in awe at every ounce oy your tremendously good job. And i'm not even talking about the titanic energy you've been pouring onto the 4.0 release, but about the outstanding quality of the results so far. For all the people that believe in software done to truly bring a better world for everyone, and not to just make fat margins, you and every one of KDE's contributors are real flesh and bone heroes. You rock man, so enjoy this release because you really have earned it.
KDE4 fucking rocks!!!!!!!
thanks Aaron, you're my idol :D
damn aseigo you rock so much!!!!!
you're the best dude!
i love you :D
