in about two hours, at 18:00 UTC, i'll be presenting on kde4 at the seventh umeet online conference which is put on every year by uninet. it's held in spanish, portuguese and english and covers an interesting array of topics. this is my third (i think?) year visiting it as a speaker. unlike other conferences which involve me dealing with airplanes, luggage and hotels this one is just an hour or so out of my day sitting in front of a warm computer.
my presentation will be in #linux on irc.uninet.edu and will mostly be question and answer this year, i think. i decided that since there seems to be a lot of interest around kde4, that we'll try an "open floor" format for today's presentation.

Hey Aaron,
I'm that Plasma FAQ guy. Do you think the logs will be kept somewhere? I think they would be very helpful in compiling the list.
"Plasma FAQ guy"? do tell...
[ugh, blogger... why can't I log in any more? why do you tell me to report it without telling me how to find this mystical issue-reporting place?]
Aaron,
This couple with your appearance at the linuc action show makes me believe that the KDE project is on the verge of something big, but I am wondering about some earlier plasma stuff that seemed to have dissapear. I think they were call plasma icons and they were little icons on the fourn corners of an icon by some guy I tihnk his name was rupy. Also what is going on with raptor? and teh very beginning idea of detachabble plasmoids form the panel
@Chani:
I tried posting the explanation on your blog but my comment didn't get through (anti-spam?).
Basically I and another person are compiling a list of Plasma-related questions in order to ease the transition from KDE 3. More details are in the TechBase page (http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Plasma/FAQ) and in kde-promo where I announced my idea.
