this is a formal announcement1 that i will be hosting an all day issue identification, triaging and fixing day on saturday, november 3rd on irc in #kde4-krush.
we will spend the day running kde4 apps to identify outstanding issues, figure out which should be filed on bugs.kde.org, which we can fix right away, etc.
i invite all kde4 hackers and testers to join us to see just how many issues we can nail. if this saturday is a success, i'll try and make sure that these happen every week from here until 4.0 is released.
[1] because (a) blogs are sooo formal, and (b) this sort of announcment obviously must be made formally ;)

Just to make it clear. Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th?
@Jure: whoops! looked at the wrong day on the calendar. good catch, i've fixed it in the blog entry. =)
Actually these kind of bug-fix days with the devs on IRC have worked out quite well for the Gentoo devs. Hopefully the word will get out for yours.
Here's hoping it's very successful, and the first of many to come! :-)
I'll try and get there, I got some of the apps compiled and hopefully I'll be able to help.
Is it open to everyone who can triage bugs (I mean, non coders)? I compile SVN every two-three days and I'd be glad if I could contribute to making KDE 4.0 better.
@Luca: yes, it is certainly open to non-coders. anyone who can help test, triage and run software through debugging paces is more than welcome...
i look forward to seeing you there =)
Hey, I'll be there too!
Yesterday I had some very weird crashes in Edu apps, one in KNewStuff originated in KIO and another in KAlgebra making X crash. Gianni reproduced the later but none other people and we could not originate it. So the more people to test (even non developers) the better!
Take care,
Anne-Marie
I think this is a great idea. I've just spent the last weekend getting KDE4 compiled from svn. I'm keen to get my feet wet playing around with the code but it's hard to know where to start and how I can be helpful.
+1
Is there any "formal" start time for us, antipods or just as soon as people start sobering up from friday party?
@berkus: whenever people start showing up =)
I will be there on GMT+1 morning and I will try during the evening.
