i totally forgot why i started writing my last blog entry once i got to the part about readable api's. it's been that kind of day ;)
while in boston logan, i spotted a nokia 770 on the television; i spotted what looks like open office (_maybe_ koffice?) using the crystal icon set in an episode of house m.d., so apparently at least the woman doctor runs kde on her laptop =); and the guy next to me while i was hacking started chatting to me and gave me some rather nice news:
he works for a company in the u.s.a. that makes software for hospitals. right now the client side only runs on windows. they are changing that with their next major version with a linux client as well. unfortunately he didn't know what toolkit or language they were using (he's not in development). but it's great news, as it seems to be one more sign of a growing trend: more and more client side software is aiming for linux.
the applications are coming!

the kid named "zack" in the "heroes" series, chapter 13, uses a kde desktop in his laptop and konqueror for browsing a website :) I just whish a big gear could be seen in the background, though.
